Q. How do the CHIP HMO plans work?

A. The employer chooses one of four plans available for their employees:

Basic HMO Plan
Standard HMO Plan
Plus HMO Plan
Point of Service Plan

If the employer chooses the Point of Service plan the employee will have the choice of going in network as well as out of network.. If the employee stays in network, then the benefits are the same as the Standard HMO Plan. The employee will also choose which HMO carrier they want to utilize:

HMO Colorado (BC/BS)
Aetna U.S. Healthcare
Kaiser Permanente

These carriers are not available in all areas of Colorado. A quote will indicate which carriers are available for your client.

Q. How do the CHIP PPO plans work?

A. The employer chooses one of five plans for their employees. All PPO plans have in network and out of network benefits. The PPO network utilized is Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield which is available throughout Colorado.

Q. Can the PPO plans be used as a dual option with other plans?

A. No. The employer must choose one plan for all employees.

Q. How fast can I get a quote from RT Health & Life?

A. For groups of 1-50, a quote can be faxed to you within 24 hours. For groups over 50, please allow at least 48 hours.

A. The following is the commission schedule for the Alliance CHIP PPO & HMO plans.
